Southeast Asia is a strategic region in terms of both E&P and downstream, attracting operators from across the whole spectrum, from super-majors to small independents. Hydrocarbon production remains robust at about 1.8 MMbo/d and 23 Bcfg/d and the region is the source of a large proportion of the world’s LNG supply. With considerable upside and underexplored frontier basins, Southeast Asia remains an attractive option to newcomers and established players alike.
